Lunar New Year Celebration 2020 cancelled

The Chinese American Association of Syosset (CAAS) cares greatly about the health and well-being of our community, no matter what age.  It is with this priority in mind that we are taking the latest coronavirus outbreak in China very seriously here in Syosset, especially during this high travel Lunar New Year holiday time.  As a result CAAS has decided to cancel this year’s Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020.  We know a lot of people have put in tons of time and effort to prepare for our popular and highly anticipated annual show, but as Chinese American community leaders, we have a responsibility to listen to the concerns of our community.

We want to thank the Syosset Central School District, Syosset High School Chinese Culture Society (CCS), our business members, performers, volunteers and CAAS members for their continued support of CAAS.

Wishing everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous Year of the Rat!
